The day

Sunday, October 10, 2027

Everything happens in one place: the Holt Room at the Otter Hotel, 600 Banff Avenue.

The full schedule for the day is coming soon.

Dress code: Formal (black tie optional). Think dark suits or tuxedos, and floor-length or elegant cocktail dresses. Early October in Banff can be sunny or snowy, so bring a warm layer for photos outside.

Getting here

Fly into Calgary, then head west

Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the closest airport. Banff is about an hour and a half west by car.

No car? Take a shuttle

Two airport shuttles run from Calgary airport to Banff hotels. Book ahead for the long weekend.

Driving

Banff is inside a national park. Every vehicle stopping in the park needs a Parks Canada pass.

Getting around Banff

Most hotels below are a short walk along Banff Avenue. Taxis and Roam, the local bus, cover the rest.

Where to stay

The Otter Hotel's group, Banff Lodging Company, runs 16 hotels in Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise, from simple motel rooms to condos with full kitchens. Our code takes 20% off the current rate at any of them. Please book by August 27, 2027. Rooms aren't held, and Thanksgiving weekend is busy in Banff, so earlier is better.

Prefer a home or condo?

Whole-home rentals aren't allowed inside the Town of Banff, so most Airbnb and Vrbo stays are in Canmore, about 20 minutes away, with a few licensed guest rooms in Banff. These links open a search for Saturday, Oct 9 to Monday, Oct 11, 2027; change the dates or guests to suit. Hosts open their calendars up to about a year ahead, so check back in fall 2026.
